Finest Quality Eyewear
Our knowledgeable and experienced team of experts will assist in your selection of
eyeglass frames. From designer fashions to classic or sporty frames, you're sure to find
your perfect look.
The quality of the lens and it's design has a lot to do with the sharpness of your vision as
well as the comfort of your eyewear. We offer a wide variety of lens designs and material to
suit your various needs. Please find below a concise description of the available
materials, designs and options offered by our practice.
Lens Materials
- Stronger than glass and half the weight. Maximum comfort and durability. Can
be tinted to almost any color and density.
- Provides lighter and thinner Lenses. Revolutionary high-index lens material
offers stronger prescriptions in a thinner, lighter lens. No more coke-bottle
lenses! Resuces eye magnification for farsighted patient and reduces edge
thickness for nearsighted patient. Provides comfort and UV protection.
- Lenses that Darken Photochromic
- Photosensitive lenses tint automatically, adjusting to the intensity of light
passing through the lenses. Tint darkens outdoors and lightens inside. Provides
UV protection. Available in glass or plastic.
- The most impact-resistant material. Shatterproof and lightweight. Good for the
active child or athlete. Provides UV protection.
- Durable, scratch-resistant material. Provides superior optics.
Before purchasing your eyewear, consider the advantage of each of our lens coatings.
Think of your glasses as a tool. With the addition of proper coatings, this tool can perform
well beyond simple vision correction, and actually enhance your day-to-day performance,
appearance and stamina.
Anti-Reflective
Improves vision in all lighting conditions by allowing more light to reach the eye. Anti-
Reflective eliminates reflection while dramatically improving night vision/night driving and
easing fatigue from computer work or reading in harsh light. The lastest technology , such
as Crizal Alize makes the cleaning a breeze and offers an impressive scratch coat.
Polarized
Provides the most comfortable vision and reduction of glare for driving, boating, skiing and
any outdoor activities. Provides an enhanced image compare to a simple tint. Available in
a variety of lens design and material.
UV-400
Blocks UVA, UVB and UVC bands of ultraviolet light waves. Effective in reducing the risk of
cataract development. Sources include fluorescent lighting as well as natural lights.
Scratch Coat
While not making plastic, polycarbonate or high index lenses scratch proof, it will harden
the surface making them less susceptible to scratching from every day wear. Our warranty
will replace scratched lenses once in two years at no charge with the purchase of this
coating.
Tinting
Blocks transmittance of light waves, reducing glare and strain.
Lens Designs
Single-Vision Lenses
Great all-purpose glasses for simple prescriptions. Popular choice for single-usage or
occupational glasses (computer glasses, reading glasses).
Progressive Bifocals
Progressive (no-line) lenses offer all the benefits of bifocals plus the cosmetic
appearance of single-vision lenses. They provide clear vision close-up, at a distance and
at arms length.
Flat-Top Bifocals
Good for close-up work. Offers variable bifocal widths to accommodate many closeup
jobs. Available in glass or plastic.
Specialty Flat-Top Bifocals
Occupational with seg at top and bottom. Golf glasses with seg placed out of the way.
Trifocals
Added lens segments provide clear vision close-up, far away and in-between. Facilitates
all types of work.
Computer Lenses
Access lens provides clear, uninterrupted vision from reading distance up to ten feet. Mid-
range area is as large as the near vision range. Ideal for patients who work on a computer
for more than a few hours a day.
